Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a senior Java Developer with AWS expertise to design and implement microservices at scale in Jersey City, NJ. The role requires strong backend development with Java/Spring Boot and deep AWS integration across EC2/EKS/ECS, Lambda and related services, plus front-end coordination with React.

You will contribute to SDLC practices, implement IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation, manage Kubernetes/Docker deployments, and enhance observability and security across services.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong experience in building Java/Spring Boot microservices.
  • Experience in using AWS services with relation to microservices across EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, networking, and security services.
  • Knowledge of React-based front end concepts and integrations with microservices to triage issues.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), Kubernetes/Docker, automated testing and deployment frameworks.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools to triage microservices issues.
