Job summary

NS2 Mission in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Junior-Mid level Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain Java components for processing signal and geospatial data, with integration to native C++ code. You will work with experienced engineers across the full software lifecycle, contribute to testing, debugging, and documentation, and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.

A TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Strong software development experience with Java or C/C++.
• Solid knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows.
• Experience developing unit tests and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Eclipse and Gradle.
• Experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, and GitLab for CI/CD.
• Active Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills.
• Attention to detail and software quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java components for signal and geospatial data.
• Develop solutions using Java and integrate with native C++ code.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges through design and debugging.
• Create and maintain automated tests with JUnit and NeXtMidas macro language.
• Maintain test environments using Jenkins, GitLab, and map servers.
• Participate in configuration management and CI activities.
• Support application users with technical questions.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from design to end-user support.
