Job summary

Smart IMS Inc. is seeking a Java Developer for a 7-month contract in Denver, hybrid work arrangement. You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications, implement REST APIs, and contribute to cloud deployments using AWS and CI/CD practices.

The role requires strong Java expertise, Spring framework experience, and familiarity with Thymeleaf and front-end basics. Collaboration with stakeholders and modern development tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise Java development experience.
• Hands-on with Java 21 or newer.
• Strong Spring Boot and Spring Framework know-how.
• REST API design, development, and consumption.
• Web front-end basics: HTML, CSS, JS.
• Git-based workflows, preferably GitLab.
• CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (AWS).
• Server-side templating with Thymeleaf.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based apps.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate JSON-based services.
• Develop UIs with Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS, JS.
• Leverage AWS services and deploy cloud solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and IaC initiatives.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions and reviews.
• Ensure secure coding practices and documentation.
