Job summary

Synechron is seeking a senior Java Developer to join a strategic Digital Payments initiative. You will design, develop, and maintain Java‑based payment applications and microservices, build APIs, and collaborate with business and architecture teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in Java development, strong Spring Boot/mvc, and experience with payment systems such as ACH, SWIFT, or card payments; familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development.
  • Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
  • Experience with enterprise payment systems (ACH, Wire, SWIFT, RTP, FedNow).
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating with external payment services.
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience in enterprise payment systems to join a strategic Digital Payments initiative. While prior Stablecoin, Blockchain, or Digital Assets experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates with a solid background in payment processing and modern Java technologies who are eager to learn emerging payment technologies are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development.
  • Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
  • Experience with enterprise payment systems, including one or more of:
  • ACH, Wire Transfers, SWIFT, RTP (Real‑Time Payments), FedNow, Payment Gateways
  • Card Payments
  • Strong understanding of payment transaction lifecycle, settlement, reconciliation, and payment orchestration.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating with external payment services.
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to Stablecoins, Tokenized Deposits, Digital Assets, or Blockchain‑based Payments.
  • Knowledge of Ethereum, Hyperledger, Canton, Stellar, Ripple, or similar blockchain platforms.
  • Experience with payment tokenization and secure transaction processing.
  • Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, and API security best practices.
  • Experience working in banking or financial services.
