Job summary

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) is seeking a General Java Developer to join the Data Services team in Manassas, VA. The role requires strong Java development, Linux/Unix expertise, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. You will work in a full-time capacity on a mid-to-front-end stack, integrating and refining software across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux/Unix development, integration, and troubleshooting background.
• Proven Java development experience with multithreading.
• Experience with database systems such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with inter-process messaging middleware (gRPC, Artemis).
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• B.S. in CS/Engineering; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD secret clearance.
• Proactive, self-starter who works well independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, test, and document software per life cycle.
• Ensure software standards are met and maintain documentation.
• Resolve program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and controls.
