Job summary

S2 IT Group is seeking a software engineer to design and implement backend services in Java/J2EE with JPA, and to manage microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs. The role includes building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Maven/Gradle/Jenkins/Concourse, and contributing to frontend work with TypeScript and React.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Backend services using Java, J2EE and JPA technologies.
• Manage multiple microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful Web services.
• Build pipelines and CI/CD steps with Maven, Gradle, Jenkins and Concourse.
• Create React components, modules and directives in TypeScript.
• Construct test cases at unit, contract, integration and system levels.
• Perform code reviews, deployments and documentation.
• Write scripts for data load and issue resolutions.
• Identify use cases for automation and reduce manual interventions.
• Optimize application performance, fix defects and manage builds.
• Use Jira and Confluence for requirements and bug tracking.
• Participate in systems analysis and agile meetings; contribute to CI/CD pipelines with DevOps collaboration.

Job Duties:

Design anddevelop Backend services using Java, J2EE, and JPA technologies. Managemultiple Micro services using spring boot and Restful Web services. Buildpreparations using Maven, Gradle, Jenkins and Concourse. Create Reactdirectives, controllers, modules, and pipes in Typescript. Construct testcaseson various levels such as unit, contract, integration and system testing byutilizing various methodologies. Perform code reviews, deployments and documentations.Write and run scripts for the data load and issue resolutions. Identify usecases for automation, avoid and reduce manual intervention. Optimizeapplication performance, fix defects and build creation and managements . Use Jira andConfluence for requirement and bug tracking. Participate in systemsanalysis activities and other meetings for use creation and inquiry. Operate in a dynamic agile environment andassist in construction of CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps.Required tools and utilities: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS SNS SQS, XML, WebServices, SOA, JPA, REST, ERP SCM, JIRA, QC and Spring Consumer DrivenContracts (CDC).

Other:

FullTime. Travel involved to unanticipated client locations within US.

Requirements:
