Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a Java Backend Developer for Client Assets Engineering on a contract basis. You will design and build scalable RESTful services with Spring Boot, focusing on performance, reliability, and API quality.

This role is on-site in Jersey City for a 4-month contract. Requirements include 10+ years as a senior Java developer, strong AWS experience (Airflow, ECS Fargate, Aurora, Lambda), MongoDB and Kafka expertise, and hands-on skills with AI

Qualifications

• 10+ Senior hands-on developer with strong analytical, problem solving and strong technical skills with good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ownership and self-starter who can hit the ground quickly and drive the implementation projects independently.
• Work with users independently to understand the requirements & adapt to the functional and business use case requirements and implement them
• AWS Cloud experience is must – Airflow, ECS Fargate, Aurora , Lambda, Java / DB2 , Snowflake, Typescript
• Good understanding of AWS infra deployment , testing , configuration (resiliency setups etc.,)
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, Co-pilot)

• Drive backend acceleration strategies, including asynchronous processing and query optimization.

Java Backend Developer focused on building high-performance backend systems with a strong emphasis on API development and Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will also bring deep expertise in MongoDB and Kafka

Required Qualifications:

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $30.05/hour - $46.95/hour.
