Phani in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a seasoned Web-based Applications Developer to design, implement, and test Java/J2EE based systems. You will contribute to SOA-enabled enterprise solutions, develop ADA-compliant web pages, and collaborate with analysts and leads to translate requirements into robust software.
The role requires 4+ years of hands-on development, expertise in WebSphere/JBoss, Oracle/SQL/PLSQL, and a strong focus on code quality and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent certificate.
Must have four (4) plus years of Web based applications development experience in: a. JAVA, J2EE, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, EJB, JavaBeans, JDBC, Struts framework, Custom tag libraries b. Working knowledge in Websphere, JBoss administration console. Developing web pages that comply to ADA 508 compliance standards c. Analysis and Design of Web based applications d. Websphere and JBoss Application Server e. Development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) enabled enterprise systems. 3. Must have 2 plus years automated unit testing experience using JUNIT or Selenium. 4. Must have hands-on experience of Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL (Creating procedures/triggers) or similar databases. 5. Must have worked on Configuration Management tools e.g. IBM Rational tools. 6. Must have excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills. Following skills would be a “PLUS”:
Work Assignments: Work under direction from the technical lead. Work with Business Analyst/Functional leads in Analysis and Designing Applications. Responsible for writing J2EE compliant code utilizing standard IDE’s such as Eclipse as per project coding standards. Responsible for creating Graphical user interface utilizing GUI tools . Participate in code peer reviews and ensure the code written complies with the company standards and policies. Participate in meetings and discussions with Functional/Technical Leads to understand the requirements and work out a design.
