Job summary

Northern Base is seeking a talented software engineer in Chicago to develop, deploy, and support large-scale distributed applications in a production environment. You will work with a team to design scalable solutions and deliver solid user experiences.

The role requires translating business requirements into technical specs, collaborating across onshore/offshore teams, and owning end-to-end delivery with automated testing. AWS/AI familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, EJBs, Spring MVC, Hibernate, RESTful services, JMS, Kafka/Elasticsearch.
• Experience in React JS for SPA development.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Java/J2EE, EJBs, Spring MVC, Spring boot, Hibernate, Restful services, JMS, Interfacing with Kafka/Elastic search. Expertise in React JS framework to develop the SPA.
• Willingness to working in support project- Work closely with business in identifying solution requirements and key case-studies/scenarios for the future solution.
• Willingness to be flexible with work hours to extend support during weekend production calls (on need basis)
• Strong coding skills to clear coding challenge during the technical discussion
• AWS and AI knowledge- Preferrable

• Create automated unit tests for both existing code and new projects.
