Job summary

Collabera is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer in Chicago, IL to join a 12-18 month contract. The role requires 7+ years of Java experience, spanning front-end and back-end development with Spring Boot.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, collaborate across teams, and ensure code quality and security best practices. Banking industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of Java enterprise experience.
• Strong Java/Spring/REST skills.
• Experience with SQL or PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of OAuth/OIDC security concepts.
• TLS and PKI fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer with 7+ year of experience. The ideal Candidate will have experience in both front-end and back-end development, contributing to design, development, and maintenance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and other related technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, then design and build new features
• Write clean, maintainable , and efficient code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of software quality
• Troubleshoot and debug applications and optimize performance
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent level of experience
• 7+ years of experience in Java development for large and complex enterprise applications (using JDK 8+ and Spring framework)
• Strong understanding of Java, Spring Frameworks and RESTful APIs
• Experience with database technologies: SQL, Postgre SQL, or no-SQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Thorough understanding of application security concepts, including authentication, authorization, session management. Familiarity with OAuth, OIDC, FIDO protocols and related products
• Solid technical background and understanding of system architecture, loading balancing, TLS
• Familiarity with cryptographic and PKI concept
• Proficiency using software development tools: GIT, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA

Compensation

Hourly Rate:$65-$68 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
