Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer for an onsite Plano, TX contract role. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade software, delivering RESTful APIs and microservices that automate infrastructure and deployment processes.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Java Full stack Developer. This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Plano ,TX(Onsite).

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using Java and Spring Boot
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices that automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, and operational workflows.
• Develop platform automation capabilities for compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and HCI services.
• Engineer infrastructure-as-code and API-driven automation frameworks that enable standardized platform deployments.
• Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure architects, virtualization engineers, and cloud platform teams to define automation requirements and implementation patterns.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to accelerate software delivery while maintaining engineering quality and governance standards.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend or platform engineering.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java and modern software engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated experience developing automation solutions for infrastructure, private cloud, virtualization, storage, networking, or platform engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and API-driven automation principles.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
