Job summary

Bluehost is seeking a Java Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. You will work on microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments, collaborating with product, QA, and DevOps in an Agile environment to deliver reliable software for millions of users.

Candidates should have 4+ years of backend experience, strong SQL skills (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and experience with Docker, Kafka, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java (Java 8+).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and Docker.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, caching, and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
