Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Java Developer to join our Settlements backend team in Atlanta.

You will design, build, and maintain server-side Java services that power our clearing and settlement workflows, collaborating with engineers across disciplines to deliver reliable, scalable software. The role emphasizes solid foundations in Java, familiarity with Spring and modern application servers, and a proactive approach to testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of Java design and development experience.
• Solid grasp of core Java, collections and OO design.
• Exposure to Spring and open source frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL queries.
• Experience with unit testing and SDLC tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins, Gradle).
• Frontend knowledge with React/Angular is a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborative team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of backend services for the Settlements platform.
• Develop new software components with guidance from senior engineers.
• Independently handle builds and deployments, and provide production support.
• Create software tests and verify functionality and quality.
• Produce design documentation for new software and versions.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements.
• Follow team guidelines and company software development processes.
