Job summary

VDart Inc. is seeking a Java Backend Engineer for an onsite contract in Smithfield, RI. The role demands deep Java expertise, Spring-based frameworks, RESTful microservices, and cloud experience.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of full-stack Java development, strong knowledge of databases, CI/CD pipelines, and experience with testing frameworks. This is a hands-on contract position focused on building scalable, resilient enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' of demonstrable experience in full stack Java programming building scalable web applications.
• 6+ years' experience with Java Spring based frameworks and libraries preferably Spring boot
• 5+ years' working with public Cloud and Cloud based technologies with Microsoft Azure preferred
• 6+ years' experience building and consuming REST API based integration and microservices architecture
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required

Title: Java Backend Engineer

Type: Contract

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years' of demonstrable experience in full stack Java programming building scalable web applications
• 6+ years' experience with Java Spring based frameworks and libraries preferably Spring boot
• 5+ years' working with public Cloud and Cloud based technologies with Microsoft Azure preferred
• 6+ years' experience building and consuming REST API based integration and microservices architecture

Preferred Skills:

• Hands on experience working with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka or Service Bus
• Building applications working with databases like Oracle, Postgres etc.
• solid Understanding and experience working with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with software application testing approaches and tools like jUnit, Cucumber, Selenium
• Experience with Chaos Testing and other SRE practices for building highly resilient cloud based software applications
• Experience designing and developing applications in microservices architecture

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required
