Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Java 17 or, at minimum, a solid understanding of its principles. This role involves building and enhancing high-performance backend applications, optimizing scalability, and ensuring reliability in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend solutions using Java and Kotlin.
• Utilize Spring Boot for API development, microservices, and backend logic.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with attention to test-driven development and best coding practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance, addressing issues as they arise.
• Implement best practices for security, data integrity, and optimization.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions that improve the scalability, flexibility, and reliability of applications.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java backend development, with specific skills in Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17 (ideally) or extensive experience with prior versions of Java and familiarity with Java 17 principles.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Proficiency in relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
