Job summary

ITMC Systems, Inc. in Raleigh seeks a hands-on Java backend developer to design and implement scalable services. You will work with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and build robust RESTful APIs and microservices.

You will apply solid OO design, design patterns, and clean-code practices, work with SQL databases, and contribute to testing with JUnit/Mockito, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with AI coding assistants and code review of generated output is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17+.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean-code practices.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants as part of software development.
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code rather than accepting generated output without validation.
• Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, exception handling, and API security.
