Infosys Limited is seeking a Technology Consultant 1 in Salt Lake City, UT, to support digital transformation initiatives for financial services. You will work on core Java-based applications, microservices, and API management, collaborating across teams to document requirements and design software solutions.

The role emphasizes SDLC participation, testing, production support, and knowledge sharing, with relocation/travel as needed. A bachelor’s degree and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Core Java concepts including OOP, collections, streams, concurrency, and exception handling.
• Experience in Java/J2EE and Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC; Struts for legacy migrations).
• Strong SQL skills with exposure to an RDBMS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server).
• Experience designing REST APIs and inter-service communication in Microservices.
• Willingness to relocate or travel; U.S. work authorization required.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 1, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and ensure accurate documentation of stakeholder requirements
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications, and aid in creation of process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications, following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
• Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team, to facilitate enhancement of software performance
• Support the integration of new software features, facilitating smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and creation of comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance
• Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository

Required Skill and Experience

• Experience in Core Java concepts- OOP, collections, streams, concurrency, exception handling.
• Experience in Java/J2EE & Spring: Spring Boot, Spring MVC; Struts experience acceptable/valued for legacy migrations.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience in Database SQL: Strong SQL; exposure to any one RDBMS is mandatory (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server).
• Experience in Microservices: REST API design, inter-service communication, resilience patterns, pagination, error handling.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
