Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 level software engineer in Richardson, TX, to drive full‑stack development using Java, Spring Boot, and React. You will design, implement, and integrate features, work in an Agile team, and contribute to banking, wealth management, and insurance projects.

The role requires strong API, database, DevOps, and cloud skills, with relocation/travel as needed. On‑site work in Texas is expected for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Strong Java and full‑stack capabilities with modern frameworks.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Hands‑on with Git and CI/CD practices in cloud environments.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill And Experience

• Proficient in full stack development with Java.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React js.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git preferred).
• Strong expertise in Kafka.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and AWS.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift).
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Background in test-driven development (TDD)
• Experience in Blockchain and capital markets is good to have.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
