Job summary

Precision Technologies in Wisconsin is seeking a senior Java Architect to design scalable, secure enterprise solutions and lead architecture discussions across multiple teams.

You will define standards, review designs, and mentor developers while teams build microservices with Spring Boot, REST, and cloud deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong Java expertise.
• Hands-on with Java 8/11/17+ and Spring ecosystem.
• Design patterns, SOLID, and SDLC proficiency.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and cloud architectures.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions and mentor teams.
• Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ and both SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Job description

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance Java/J2EE applications and enterprise solutions.
• Define application architecture, technical standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Lead architecture and technical design discussions across multiple teams.
• Develop and review solution architecture, HLD/LLD, APIs, and system integration designs.
• Provide technical leadership to Java development teams and mentor senior developers.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Spring Cloud.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP and modern DevOps practices.
• Analyze existing applications and recommend modernization, optimization, and migration strategies.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and SDLC.
• Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ or other messaging technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, and DevOps tools.
• Strong experience in cloud architecture with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing distributed, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred

• Experience with enterprise application modernization and cloud migration.
• Experience working in large-scale MNC/enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
