Job summary

One World Market of Novi is seeking a dependable Grocery Stocker to keep shelves full and the store presentable. You will unload deliveries, organize back stock, rotate products for freshness, and create neat displays while helping customers as needed.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, weekend/holiday availability, and basic English. Familiarity with Japanese groceries is a plus and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or stocking experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Japanese food products or willingness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic English required; Japanese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unpack and stock merchandise on shelves, in coolers, and in freezers.
• Rotate stock to ensure freshness and check for expiration dates.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
• Assist in receiving and verifying deliveries.
• Ensure product displays are full, clean, and correctly labeled.
• Provide helpful and friendly customer service when needed.
• Handle Japanese grocery items with care and familiarity.
• Follow store safety and sanitation guidelines.
