Helix Publicity is a full-service global publicity agency dedicated to helping Asian artists and entertainment professionals stand out in today’s ever-changing media landscape.

We are seeking a Japanese to/from English Translator & Interpreter to support our publicists working directly with our J-pop and/or Japanese clients. This position requires someone who is 100% fluent in Japanese and has a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Attend virtual client meetings, interviews, and media training sessions.
• Assist with translation, interpretation, and transcription of interviews, scripts, documents, etc.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Japanese, including verbal and written skills.
• Experience in translation and live interpretation is preferred.
• Must be over 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Have a quiet workspace and reliable WiFi for meetings.
• Maintain discretion to ensure client privacy.

Schedule

• May require working during EST & JST time zones.
• Availability to attend virtual client interviews, meetings, and media training sessions.

Details

• Workload varies; the schedule is typically flexible. Pay starts at $16 per hour.
• Fully remote position with occasional in-person meetings or events, expenses covered if travel is approved.
• Interest in publicity work is a plus.
