• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, e.g., BSME, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Manufacturing background, preferably automotive.
• Experience in managing projects from quotation to implementation.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and 3D CAD tools like CATIA/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Manage tooling projects from design through mass production.
• Design and build fixtures (CAD time ~10%).
• Complete the tool design review and participate in reviews.
• Oversee the tool build from preproduction into mass production.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to tooling.
• Work with tool shop or outsourcing after tool design.
• Manage all preproduction events.
• Stand up to 2 hours on concrete and perform bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

Job description

This position provides technical support in areas of manufacturing and is responsible for continuous improvement, process development, process parameters/control/optimization and for equipment/technology support.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BSME), Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Manufacturing background (preferably automotive).
• Processing knowledge to manage projects from quotation.
• Experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, 3D CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks).

Preferred skills:

• 2 - 5 years of experience with Injection molding and or Metal Stamping (Preferably automotive).
• Project Management skills to manager projects from quotation to implementation.
• Familiar with APQP process.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Manufacturing Experience.
• Ability to manage a few projects with multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly.
• PLC (Mitsubishi, Keyence, DirectSoft) programming is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage tooling projects from design through mass production.
