Job Description and Position Requirements

Penn State is searching for a full-time Janitorial Worker (Behrend) - Grade 10 to join the team. Duties include:

  • Collect waste from work areas; wash chalkboards; gather dirty erasers and supply clean erasers.
  • Dust, dust mop floors; wet mop floors; spot clean and vacuum rugs, runners, etc.; rotate runners and clean stairways.
  • Wash glass, mirrors, light fixtures, wainscoting, railings, toilet fixtures, etc.; clean restrooms and stock dispensers.
  • Wash and polish furniture, brass, etc.
  • Maintain equipment and materials used to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Lock doors, close and lock windows, and turn out lights.
  • Report needed repairs to Supervisor.
Job Requirements

Requires the use of simple writing, addition, subtraction, whole numbers, and the carrying out of instructions; interpretation of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required. Up to and including 3 months of effective experience.

Work Schedule

3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday
