Job summary

ESFM USA is seeking a Lead Janitor for a full-time position located at 23700 West Bluff Road, Channahon, IL 60410. Schedule is Monday–Friday with hours that may vary, and online applications are accepted only. The role requires at least 1 year of experience and pays $17.50 per hour.

As part of Compass Group USA’s ESFM division, the lead will train custodial teams, supervise training activities, and ensure safety and compliance across cleaning operations in a heavy commercial setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance and company policies.
• Conducts one-on-one training as needed.
• Updates and provides training on use of janitorial equipment, PPE and chemical usage/safety.
• Copies training material and revises material as needed; conducts administrative tasks as requested.
• Provides feedback on new associates during orientation period; reviews trainee records to ensure successful compliance.
• Provides recommendations to training coordinator for disciplinary action as appropriate.
• Performs reviews, e.g., monthly safety performance review, to ensure OSHA and related requirements.
• Performs walk-through building inspections as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
