Job summary

The Facilities Group National is seeking a Janitorial Team Lead in Shelbyville, IN to supervise the shift and ensure the smooth operation of janitorial services. You will lead staff, maintain quality standards, and ensure safety compliance while meeting customer satisfaction goals.

The role requires prior janitorial and supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft 365. This is a full-time position working Sunday to Thursday, 1:00pm–9:30pm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years janitorial experience required.
• 1+ year supervising experience required.
• Floor care experience is a plus.
• Positive and encouraging attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to follow directions and ask for clarification when needed.
• Able to use a computer; familiar with Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and supervise janitorial staff.
• Ensure smooth operations and meet customer satisfaction goals.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
• Communicate work assignments and expectations to team members.
• Monitor shift performance and report to site manager.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate supply orders as needed.
• Maintain equipment and proper floor care procedures.
• Respond to customer complaints and resolve them promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the site manager.
