Regal Cinemas at Champlain Centre in Plattsburgh, NY is seeking a janitorial supervisor to partner with our team to deliver an exceptional environment for moviegoers to enjoy their experience. Duties could be performed during flexible overnight hours or mornings prior to the cinema opening for business. If you like working independently and have a passion for cleanliness and attention to detail, we'd love for you to join our team. All employees receive a monthly allotment of free movie tickets, 50% discount on food, and 401k. Full time employees are eligible for paid vacation and Health & Dental benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Regular and Consistent Attendance
  • Cleaning all auditoriums prior to opening for business
  • Ensuring all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business
  • Ensuring all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business
  • Ensuring the janitorial closet area is clean, organized and stocked with needed supplies
  • Expected to use equipment such as vacuums and compactor
  • Reporting any facility damage found to the General Manager
  • Responsible for securing and reporting any found items to management.
  • Maintain building security in keeping doors secured and alarm set and disabled as required (if applicable).
  • Ensure all non-public areas are secure including arming, disarming and general operation of the alarm system.
  • Regularly meet with General Manager or designated members of management to walk the facility, review performance of janitorial staff and implement strategies to ensure standards are being met.
  • Direct, as needed, the duties of other members of the janitorial staff and ensure that they are completing tasks and delivering standards.
  • Effectively manage inventory of paper products, cleaning chemicals and other disposables to control costs.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods.
  • Have knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures.
  • Required to read and understand training materials that will cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.

Pay Scale Information: [21.50/hour]
