Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Full-Time Janitorial Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations and ensure high-quality performance within our team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in our facilities.

Location and Shift: This position is based at Melbourne International Airport (MLB) and operates during the night shift from 4:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in restrooms and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
2. Empty and dispose of waste and recyclables properly throughout the facility.
3. Clean and disinfect shared spaces like break rooms, kitchenettes, and meeting rooms.
4. Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces including doorknobs, switches, and handrails.
5. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, ensuring availability of necessary products.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety policies and report hazards or concerns immediately to management.

Scheduling and Team Oversight:

• Understand, communicate, and adapt to the work schedule; address team members' scheduling requests or concerns.
• Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and report attendance or personnel issues.

Chemical and Equipment Knowledge:

• Be knowledgeable about cleaning chemicals, their uses, and safety measures. Prepare necessary supplies with safety in mind.

Laundry and Cleanliness:

• Assist with laundry tasks and maintain cleanliness of locker areas, reporting issues to management.

Quality Control and Training:

• Ensure team performance meets quality standards; address concerns proactively. Train new staff and foster a collaborative environment.

Organizational Leadership and Flexibility:

• Assign tasks, set expectations, and ensure effective communication. Be willing to assist at sister locations and train technicians as needed.

Change Management:

• Respond positively to internal and external changes; communicate issues to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Experience in janitorial or custodial services, leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration ability.
• Adaptability to changing schedules and environments.
• Understanding of dilution concepts and PPE requirements.
