Job summary

Summit Building Services in Columbus, OH is seeking an area supervisor to lead our janitorial team across multiple client sites. You will be responsible for coverage, training new employees, and coordinating supply orders.

Typical schedule is 30-40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with on-call weekend hours. This is a full-time position paying $22.00 per hour, with benefits including medical insurance, paid vacation, and a 401K.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to commute to multiple sites.
• Valid driver license required.
• Must pass drug tests and background checks.
• Weekend on-call availability; weekend hours may be added to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Work with employees to handle client requests or complaints promptly.
• Supervise, train, motivate and develop team members.
• Arrange coverage for employee absences.
• Disciplinary action and retraining of employees when necessary.
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure specifications are met.
• Correct deficiencies in buildings as needed.
• Complete work tickets.
• Send reports to Area Manager.
• Recommend special project work when needed.
• Carry out ongoing education to gain competency in the position.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities per company policies and applicable laws.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements

Summit Building Services is looking for a area supervisor to join our janitorial team! You would be assisting with coverage, training new employees, detail work, and assisting with supply orders.This position supports client sites in Columbus, Heath, Westerville, Hilliard, Obetz, and the surrounding areas.

30-40 hours weekly : Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.

Pay: $22.00 hourly

You must have reliable transportation to get to and from work, a valid drivers license, and be able to pass drug tests and background checks. Weekend availability on an on-call basis is required. Your schedule would be adjusted to reflect the weekend hours.
