Summit Building Services is seeking an area supervisor to oversee janitorial teams in the West Cleveland area, including Westlake and surrounding communities. You will help with coverage, training, and supply orders while ensuring client needs are met.

The role involves supervising staff, coordinating shift coverage, and maintaining quality standards on site, with opportunities for advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising janitorial teams.
• Ability to train new employees.
• Manage coverage and supply orders.
• Proven ability to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with employees to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner.
• Supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members.
• Work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained.
• Arrange for coverage in the event of an employee absence.
• Disciplinary action and/ or termination of employees when necessary.
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met.
• Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary.
• Complete work tickets.
• Send reports to Area Manager.
• Recommendation of special project work when needed.
• Complete ongoing education to gain competency in their position.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
