Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Janitorial Supervisor for 1st shift to lead the day-to-day janitorial operations across assigned buildings. You will supervise staff, coordinate services, and ensure adherence to contracted standards and client requirements.

The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience, Spanish/English bilingual abilities, strong communication, and solid planning skills. Compensation is competitive; benefits and equal opportunity employment are provided.

Job Description Summary

The Supervisor reports to the Senior Operation Manager and is responsible for the following activities under the direction and guidance of the Account Manager or Account Director:Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of employees within the shift and assigned buildings. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable State and Federal laws.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assigning janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspecting their work to ensure that established standards are met
• Performing all janitorial duties necessary in instances of staff shortages.
• Assist in managing the overall activities of a project(s) and supervises the project crew.
• Coordinate services activities for assigned buildings. Ensure that services are performed as contracted and meet the customer specifications.
• Maintain/monitor work schedules of all shift personnel, including the preparation and submission of weekly payroll time sheets.
• Establish/maintain work performance standards.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory as well as general use of equipment. Including key controls.
• Snow removal services.
• Resolve on-site services delivery problems.
• Participate in on-going management/technical skills development training programs. Including safety and safety site committee.
• Conduct orientation of new employees develops employees’ skills/abilities.
• Conference room set ups and sometime internal moves as needed.
• Maintain effective on-going customer relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• One to three years of supervisory experience, and up-to-date knowledge of cleaning practices/procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the management of the site account.
• Keen observational skills to catch missed areas, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions that impact cleanliness and safety.
• Strong planning skills to sequence tasks effectively, manage multiple crews, and meet tight cleaning schedules.
• Professional interaction with clients, facility managers, and staff; ability to listen to concerns and offer solutions.
• Quick decision-making to cover staff shortages, emergency spills, and special-event requirements.

• Specific responsibilities include work-scheduling of all shift personnel, establishing work standards in conjunction with the Manager, conducting site evaluations/audits, overall inventory/equipment usage, budget control, employee evaluations, trouble-shooting/problem solving, orientation/safety training personnel, customer relations, payroll (time sheets, check distribution) and special project work as requested.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $22.78 - $26.80
