Job summary

Summit Building Services in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an area supervisor to manage our janitorial team across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and nearby communities. You will supervise staff, ensure client requests are handled promptly, and coordinate coverage and training.

This full-time role offers a consistent schedule Monday to Friday with 30–40 hours per week and pay of $19.00 per hour. You’ll work with HR to staff jobs, conduct inspections, and report outcomes to the Area Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising janitorial teams.
• Ability to train and develop staff.
• Strong communication with clients and team.

• Handle client requests or complaints promptly and professionally.

Job Skills / Requirements

Summit Building Services is looking for an area supervisor to join our janitorial team! We service commercial buildings in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, New Port Richey, and the surrounding areas You would be assisting with coverage, training new employees, detail work, and assisting with supply orders.

Full time hours weekly : Monday - Friday 30-40 hours per week varying schedule

Pay: $19.00 hourly

Duties:

• Work with employees to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner
• Supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members
• Work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
• Arrange for coverage in the event of an employee absence
• Disciplinary action and/ or termination of employees when necessary
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met
• Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
• Complete work tickets
• Send reports to Area Manager
• Recommendation of special project work when needed
• Complete ongoing education to gain competency in their position
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
