Job summary

Allied Universal North Riverside Mall is seeking a Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the janitorial staff and ensure service quality in alignment with client contracts.

The role reports to site management, drives safety, training, and payroll tasks as needed, and requires leadership experience in janitorial services. The position offers a full-time schedule with weekly pay and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of janitorial work experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage stressful situations.
• Mediates conflict with tact, diplomacy; coaching, mentoring.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Active listening and rapid issue assessment.

Responsibilities

• Delegate workload of janitorial staff members.
• Perform quality assurance checks against contract specifications.
• Answer calls from security or mall management for emergency cleaning.
• Ensure janitor closets are cleaned and stocked.
• Oversee setup of tables, chairs, stages, and merchandising units as required.
• Inform maintenance and supervisor of deficiencies.
• Conduct safety training; coach and mentor janitorial team members.
• Perform payroll duties, as needed.
• Provide feedback and guidance for improvement to the team.
• May perform janitorial duties to support staff when needed.

Job Description

Allied Universal® Janitorial Services, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Janitorial Supervisor. The Janitorial Supervisor will direct and delegate the workload of janitorial staff and oversee quality of work performed. This role will liaise with customer representatives and ensure the highest level of service is provided to agreed specifications.

North Riverside Mall is hiring for a Full Time Supervisor

Schedule: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Wage is $20.00 / hour

Responsibilities

• Delegate workload of janitorial staff members
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure work is completed in accordance with our customer contract
• Answer calls from security or mall management for emergency cleaning
• Ensure janitor closets are cleaned and stocked
• Oversee table, chair, stage, retail merchandising unit set-ups as required
• Inform maintenance department and supervisor of any maintenance deficiencies
• Conduct safety training; coach and mentor janitorial team members
• Perform payroll duties, as needed
• Make productivity recommendations to leadership staff
• Participate in selection and placement of janitorial team members
• Provide team feedback and provide guidance for improvement
• On occasion, may be required to perform janitorial duties to supplement staff

Qualifications

• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of janitorial work experience, preferably in a leadership role
  • Minimum of six (6) months of janitorial work experience employed by Allied Universal Janitorial Services, or other Allied Universal business
• Ability to troubleshoot, manage stressful situations
• Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy; coaching, mentoring
• Write informatively, clearly, and accurately
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience in the janitorial or housekeeping industry
• High school diploma or equivalent
