This position is responsible for the training of janitorial work site obligations while providing training and supervision to workers at the assigned site.
Shift: 7:30 AM - 4 PM
Responsibilities:
- Conducts task analysis that arranges all tasks into sequential, teachable components.
- Monitors an individual’s work-related skills and behaviors and develops interventions when performance expectations are not being met.
- Works with employees and consumers to resolve potential problems.
- Provides site contractors and the workers with satisfaction surveys on a regular basis.
- Represents the agency in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Reports individual progress on the appropriate forms and disperses them as required by agency policy.
- Trains workers in janitorial methods and procedures including the proper operation of equipment.
- Participates in and provides required documentation at individual staffings.
- Serves as a liaison to parents, guardians, agency personnel and site contractors.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in providing janitorial services.
- Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to contract specifications and established standards.
- Evaluates workers and records performance data on specified forms.
- Performance janitorial duties when assigned as needed.
- Ensures sufficient janitorial supplies and equipment are available to workers for the timely delivery of services.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Maintains inventories of janitorial supplies and equipment.
- Develops work schedules to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Recommends personnel actions, such as recommendations for hires, retraining of workers and discharge to ensure proper staffing.
- Assigns janitorial work to scheduled workers.
- Transports workers to and from work site, as required.
- Provides crisis interventions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities. Additional experience in working with persons with mental illness and/or head injuries is preferred.
- Experience with janitorial procedures.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Fluency in sign language preferred.
- Knowledge of the operation of janitorial equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies and the correct procedures for usage
- Must pass a criminal background check.
