What You’ll Do
Staff & Administrative Oversight
- Support the Director of Community Workforce Development & Janitorial Services in managing staff through hiring, training, supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Lead regular staff meetings to ensure team alignment.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to work output, inventory, labor hours, payroll, and wages.
- Assist with timely completion of SourceAmerica assessments, reports, and participant documentation, ensuring all records comply with SourceAmerica and Hope Network standards.
Contract & Operations Oversight
- Manage the day-to-day operations of janitorial contracts, ensuring compliance with quality standards, customer expectations, and contractual requirements.
- Partner with the Director to evaluate performance, resolve issues, and assist with quoting new projects.
- Oversee supply inventory and provide hands-on support as needed, including floor care services (e.g., carpet cleaning, floor stripping, waxing) and covering staff duties to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers through regular site visits, performance reviews, and responsive communication.
- Perform janitorial duties regularly to ensure all contract obligations and service standards are met.
Work Schedule
- Flexible schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–11 : 00 PM, with variations based on staffing and contractual needs
- This position also includes responsibility for covering staff absences and requires regular travel throughout West Michigan.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be eligible to obtain Federal clearance.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in janitorial services with a proven track record of results preferred.
- Experience in floor care (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Valid driver’s license that meets Hope Network’s driving requirements.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively support both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs strongly preferred.
- Must be self-directed, organized, and able to work independently.
