Job summary

SRL Total Source LLC in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Janitorial Cleaner for a VA Clinic. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, with no weekends, and requires a high school diploma and janitorial experience.

You will clean entrances, lobbies, restrooms, offices, and common areas, restock supplies, and follow safety protocols including MSDS awareness and background checks as needed. Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1+ years janitorial experience.
• Familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Able to perform physical duties including standing, reaching, lifting, and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• OSHA knowledge.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean entrances, lobbies, offices, kitchens, restrooms and other areas as listed.
• Refill toilet paper, paper towels, soap and other supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and manage cardboard disposal.
• Sweep and mop floors with hospital-disinfectant; wax/buff as needed.
• Vacuum carpets, steam clean or shampoo as scheduled.
• Disinfect sinks, counters, toilets, floors in restrooms/kitchen.
• Dust and clean desks, tables, cabinets, phones, shelves, light fixtures.
• Clean windows inside and outside, blinds and window coverings.
• Remove wall marks; dust and vacuum vents.
• Vacuum fabric furniture; wipe down furniture.
• Keep tools and supply room neat; inform supervisor when supplies low.

Hours: 8am - 9:30am

Salary:

Job Duties:

• Clean entrance doors, lobbies, reception areas, hallways, offices, group rooms, kitchens, and restrooms.
• Refill toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other clinic‑provided supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners, and take cardboard to the dumpster.
• Sweep and mop hard floors using hospital‑approved disinfectant. Wax and buff floors as needed.
• Vacuum carpets and floor mats. Steam clean or shampoo carpets as scheduled.
• Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, counters, toilets, and floors, along with kitchen counters and sinks.
• Dust and clean desks, tables, cabinets, phones, shelves, picture frames, and light fixtures.
• Clean windows inside and outside, blinds, and other window coverings.
• Remove wall marks and cobwebs. Dust and vacuum heating and cooling vents.
• Vacuum fabric furniture and wipe down plastic and leather furniture.
• Keep cleaning tools and the supply room neat. Tell your supervisor when supplies are low or repairs are needed.

Requirements & Experience:

• 1+ years of janitorial experience
• Familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Able to perform physical duties including standing, reaching, lifting, and moving objects up to 20 pounds
• OSHA Knowledge
• Must have one year of experience
• The ability to pass a background check.
