Job summary

Town House Specialty Cleaning Co is seeking an experienced Janitorial Operations Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations of a mall and retail complex. This hands-on supervisor will lead a team of cleaners, manage schedules, inspect work, and ensure service standards are met.

The role requires strong leadership, flexibility for varied hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Town House Specialty Cleaning Co. is seeking an experienced Janitorial Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily cleaning operations of a mall and retail complex.This is a hands-on, working supervisor position responsible for leading a team of cleaners, managing schedules and assignments, inspecting completed work, and ensuring Company and client service standards are consistently met.The Supervisor is expected to lead by example and work alongside the cleaning team when needed, including covering employee absences, staffing shortages, special events, increased workloads, and other operational needs. This position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and significant schedule flexibility.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, direct, train, and support the cleaning team.Manage daily schedules, assignments, and coverage for absences or call-outs.Perform hands-on cleaning duties as needed to support the operation.Inspect completed work daily and ensure Company and client standards are met.Monitor employee performance, attendance, and compliance with Company policies and safety procedures.Train and retrain employees on cleaning procedures, equipment, safety, and performance expectations.Monitor cleaning equipment and supplies and coordinate maintenance or replenishment as needed.Manage daily, periodic, and special-event cleaning activities.Communicate with client/site management regarding service needs, concerns, and operational issues.Complete required inspection, incident, and operational reports.Review payroll and timekeeping information for accuracy.Coordinate employee performance or disciplinary matters with Human Resources.Work with outside vendors as needed.Perform other supervisory, operational, and cleaning duties as assigned.Schedule & AvailabilityThis is a full-time salaried supervisory position requiring flexibility based on the needs of the facility and client.The Supervisor must be able to adjust their schedule when necessary, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. The Supervisor may also be required to report early, remain later, or provide coverage when unexpected staffing or operational needs arise.Regular attendance, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing operational needs are essential to this position.Previous commercial janitorial/cleaning experience required.Previous supervisory or team-lead experience required.Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning practices, equipment, and supplies.Willingness and ability to perform hands-on cleaning duties as needed.Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.Bilingual English/Spanish [required/preferred].Physical RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on position requiring the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine commercial cleaning activities, including bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and safely using cleaning equipment and materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.Compensation & BenefitsAnnual salary: $70,000–$75,000, based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.This position is eligible for Town House Specialty Cleaning Co.’s employee benefit programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and plan terms.
