Job summary

Planned Companies is seeking friendly, detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians to provide common area and bathroom cleaning services for residential and commercial properties in the Port Imperial to Fort Lee area, NJ.

This part-time role offers 24+ hours per week with an on-site schedule. You’ll ensure a clean, healthy, and safe environment for tenants, guests and vendors while staying polite, observant, and proactive in identifying additional cleaning needs.

Qualifications

• Willing to stand on your feet for extended periods.
• Experience in similar roles using cleaning products and equipment.
• Able to work on a team as well as independently when needed.
• Strong report writing and clear verbal communication skills.
• A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Dusting and polishing surfaces throughout the building.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
• Emptying trash and washing/drying windows.
• Requesting cleaning supply orders and reporting needed repairs.

Summary

So, Planned Companies Building Services (PB S) is looking to hire friendly and detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians to provide common area and bathroom cleaning services.

You’ll be ensuring tenants, guests and vendors have a clean, healthy, and safe property to live or work in. It’s important to be polite and respectful as well as thorough and observant of what more can be done to provide the highest level of service.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Dusting and polishing surfaces throughout the building that include but are not limited to countertops, upholstered furniture, and light fixtures.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Emptying trash cans as well as washing and drying windows.
• Requesting cleaning supply orders, reporting breakages, and needed repairs.
