Job summary

Planned Companies in Manhattan is seeking a Porter/Lobby Attendant for weekend and some weekday shifts to maintain a clean and safe property for tenants, guests, and vendors.

You will perform floor care, cleaning of bathrooms and fixtures, window care, and supply coordination. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and strong communication to support building management and upkeep tasks.

Qualifications

• Stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Experience in similar roles using cleaning products and equipment.
• Able to work in a team as well as independently.
• Strong report writing and clear verbal communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Stripping, buffing and waxing floors of various types.
• Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and furniture.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Emptying trash cans and washing/drying windows.
• Requesting cleaning supply orders and reporting breakages and repairs.
• Assisting building management with other duties as requested.

Summary

Schedule: Saturday/Sunday 4pm-12am and Monday/Tuesday/Friday 4:30pm-7:45pm

Location: Manhattan, New York

Pay: $20.00 per hour

So, Planned Companies Building Services (PBS) is looking to hire friendly and detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians to provide common area and bathroom cleaning services.

You’ll be ensuring tenants, guests and vendors have a clean, healthy and safe property to live or work in. It’s important to be polite and respectful as well as thorough and observant of what more can be done to provide the highest level of service.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Stripping, buffing and waxing floors of various types as well.
• Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Emptying trash cans as well as washing and drying windows.
• Requesting cleaning supply orders, reporting breakages and needed repairs.
• Assisting building management with all projects and all other job duties as requested.
