Job summary

Environment Control of Beachwood, Inc is seeking a bilingual Spanish/English speaking leader to supervise janitorial personnel in multiple commercial and industrial sites. The role requires travel to Lorain, Elyria, Rocky River, Wellington, Amherst, Avon/Avon Lake, Westlake, North Ridgeville and surrounding areas.

The position is part-time (4-6 hours per shift, Monday to Friday, starting at 6pm) with starting pay of $21 per hour. Travel time is paid and a monthly gas card is included.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Job description

Some of your responsibilities will include: Assigning duties, inspecting work, investigating complaints regarding janitorial services, taking corrective action when necessary, covering open sections or routes when employees are absent, training new and existing employees on proper methods and procedures, ensuring accounts are stocked with supplies and equipment, and taking periodic inventories.

Duties:

1. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in janitorial services.
2. Assigns janitorial work to employees, following material and work requirements.
3. Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards.
4. Records personnel data on specified forms.
5. Recommends personnel actions, such as hires and discharges, to ensure proper staffing.
6. Confers with staff to resolve production and personnel problems.
7. Assists with start ups of new accounts and fills in for openings and call-offs at accounts.

Starting pay rate is $21 per hour. Includes: Paid travel time, Monthly gas card.

This is a Part-Time position working 4-6 hours per shift Monday-Friday, starting at 6pm.

Requirements:

• Have an eye for detail
• Be able to work independently
• Pass a criminal background
• Must have few to zero moving violations, a valid driver's license with reliable transportation and proof of insurance
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Must be reliable; excellent attendance is required for this position
• Must have reliable transportation
• DRUG TEST REQUIRED
• Must have a clean driving record to use the company vehicle
• Must speak Spanish and English fluently
