The Purple Door in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Janitorial Maintenance Technician to provide janitorial and light maintenance services for agency facilities. You will support shelter operations, maintain cleanliness, and assist with basic repairs as needed.
Education requires a high school diploma or GED. The role requires flexible hours, some travel, and a valid driver’s license with a personal vehicle for on-site duties. Excellent communication and reliability are essential.
RATE OF PAY: $18.00 per hour
Purpose/function of position: Provide general janitorial services for agency-owned facilities, grounds, and equipment. Perform light maintenance and repair work at agency-owned facilities.
Retain and coordinate professional assistance for maintenance and repairs when needed. The Janitorial Maintenance Technician position is essential for ensuring the functionality, safety, and longevity of the residential facility for clients, staff, and volunteers.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED.
QUALIFICATIONS: Janitorial experience highly preferred; maintenance experience preferred such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and routine building repair; basic computer skills; ability to follow routine checklist; good oral and written communication skills; flexible and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines; non-traditional hours to include some evening and weekend hours possible; some travel requiring a valid driver’s license and a personal, insured vehicle for use on the job required.
