Job summary

PRIDE Industries is hiring a Janitor Lead to supervise a diverse team in cleaning and detailing facilities at customer sites. This role emphasizes safe work practices, scheduling, and quality control to ensure high standards and customer satisfaction.

The position requires at least one year in janitorial or related work, plus ability to train others and travel between local facilities. Non-exempt, onsite with potential for some mobility on projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• One year janitorial, building maintenance or related experience.
• Experience with adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges preferred.
• Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to manage materials, time; work independently and as a team.
• Knowledge of equipment used in janitorial services and PPE usage.
• Ability to train employees in proper practices and PPE usage.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, workers, clients.
• Strong human relations and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel between facilities regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tasks, coordinating work schedules to ensure coverage and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain supplies, stock and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Train workers in safe and proper use of products and equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
• Train and assist workers, working alongside them on the same tasks.
• Perform cleaning services using proper equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Clean and detail facilities, remove trash, dust/polish equipment, vacuum, clean walls and windows.
• Clean lavatories, showers and restrooms with correct chemicals, refill dispensers, mop floors.
• Monitor progress of tasks and inspect completed work for quality.
• Investigate discrepancies and report to management; suggest improvements.
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance of janitorial equipment; monitor inventory usage.
• Frequent travel between facilities; may drive a company vehicle.
