Reporting to the Site Supervisor, responsible for supervising all site personnel and assisting with daily cleaning and maintenance of rest area facilities and grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Supervise, manage, and direct Rest Area Attendants, Lead Attendants, and subcontractors under the guidance of the Site Supervisor / Area Manager, especially when the Site Supervisor is unavailable or as directed.
- Assist in training site staff.
- Act as Supervisor in the absence of the Site Supervisor or as directed by management. Be scheduled as Site Supervisor during off-shifts or weekends.
- Assist with creating and maintaining employee work schedules.
- Serve as secondary emergency site contact for VDOT and USF Management.
As Assistant Site Supervisor :
- Work to improve the site and coach staff to perform at their best.
- Perform the duties of Attendant or Supervisor as needed.
- Seek assistance from the Site Supervisor proactively when necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of restrooms and common areas for sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality.
- Clean and maintain restrooms and grounds, including picnic areas, parking lots, and pet rest areas.
- Perform minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs or filters.
- Identify maintenance or repair needs and work to address them.
- Greet customers and assist with questions or concerns.
- Report hazardous environments and help in addressing issues.
- Foster a teamwork environment encouraging collaboration and problem-solving.
- Ensure a safe working environment.
- Create, open, and update work orders using Insight as needed.
- Complete daily documentation such as repair logs and PM logs.
- Navigate basic computer programs like Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Promote safety culture to reduce accidents and injuries.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience :
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
