The Tatitlek Corporation is seeking a Janitorial/Custodial Services Technician to perform cleaning and maintenance in a federal facility, ensuring a clean, safe environment for occupants.

Responsibilities include restroom sanitation, floor care, daily cleaning of rooms and high-touch surfaces, waste disposal, and reporting safety issues. Requires 1+ year in custodial work, HS diploma, and ability to follow schedules; eligibility for Public Trust clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, urinals, mirrors, dispensers, and floors; restock supplies.
• Sanitize breakroom surfaces, clean coffee stations, sanitize refrigerator handles and vending machines, and empty trash and recyclables.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum work areas, conference rooms, training rooms, hallways, and lobbies daily.
• Wipe down and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including doors, card readers, door handles, and water fountains.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, transport waste to collection areas.
• Sweep and clean loading dock, back dock mail area, and outside patio areas; maintain exterior grounds as assigned.
• Perform periodic cleaning tasks (weekly/monthly/quarterly) like cleaning vents, blinds, and tile.
• Receive, organize, and stock supplies in storage areas.
• Report equipment malfunctions, facility damage, or safety hazards to supervisor.

SUMMARY

The Janitorial/Custodial Services Technician performs cleaning and maintenance duties in a federal facility to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for building occupants. Employees in this role may work as part of a team or independently to handle various cleaning tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing, as well as maintaining equipment and supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, urinals, mirrors, dispensers, and floors, and restock supplies.
• Sanitize breakroom surfaces, clean coffee stations, sanitize refrigerator handles and vending machines, and empty trash and recyclables.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum work areas, conference rooms, training rooms, hallways, and lobbies on a daily basis.
• Wipe down and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including doors, card readers, door handles, and water fountains.
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility and transport waste to designated collection areas.
• Sweep and clean the loading dock, back dock mail area, and outside patio areas, and maintain the exterior grounds as assigned.
• Perform periodic cleaning tasks as scheduled, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks such as cleaning air return vents, window blinds, and tile.
• Receive, organize, and stock supplies in assigned storage areas.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, facility damage, or safety hazards to the Custodial Shift Supervisor or Project Manager.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in janitorial or custodial support.
• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Ability to follow written cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
