Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is seeking a Janitorial Crew Member to join our fast-paced team in Maryland. This role offers flexible shifts and growth opportunities within a large facility services provider.

Starting pay is $15.30 per hour. The position involves cleaning rooms and common areas, restrooms, and windows, plus operating cleaning equipment and following safety procedures to keep spaces welcoming and clean.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.
• Walks extensively around the facility during the shift.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures (in English; Spanish where required).
• Familiar with KBSPresence mobile timekeeping for clocking in/out and training communications.
• Cell phone reimbursement support for work-related tasks in accordance with local laws.

Responsibilities

• Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the sales floor and seating area.
• Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, and products as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the customer and team member restrooms (includes cleaning and policing as needed).
• Complete sweep logs, as directed.
• Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
