Job summary

IFS is seeking a Janitorial Crew Member to join a fast-paced, union environment in Minnesota. The role covers cleaning duties across building and warehouse spaces, with weekends and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning.
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment; dust, wash, vacuum and polish surfaces.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs; notify Lead/Manager.
