Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, LLC (IFS) is hiring a full-time Janitorial Crew Member. Work schedule varies by day and night and includes weekends; shifts available 12am to 8am.

This fast-paced role offers leadership opportunities within a growing team and a flexible schedule to earn additional income while performing essential facility services. The position requires cleaning experience and the ability to follow written and oral instructions, with a focus on safety, teamwork and reliable

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning.
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment (dust, wash, vacuum, and polish).
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Move furniture, light fixtures or other items manually or with hand truck.
• May extract carpet (small jobs).
• Execute proper use of all equipment.
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment per instructions (rag, mops, machines, tools and buckets).
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs.
• Monitor building security and safety.
• Properly stack and replace cleaning items and tools.
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift.
• Report supply requisition needs to Lead/Manager.

Summary Of Duties

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning

• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs (notify Lead, Site or Zone Manager)
• Monitor building security and safety (lock doors after operating hours and ensure electrical appliances are turned off, etc.)
• Properly stack and replace cleaning items and tools
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift
• Report supply requisition needs to Lead/Manager
