Job summary

IFS in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated Janitorial Crew Member to join our fast-paced facilities team. Shifts vary, including mornings and weekends, offering reliable, long-term work for the right candidate.

You will clean floors, restrooms, and common areas, operate cleaning equipment, and report issues to ensure a safe and presentable building. Prior cleaning experience and ability to read safety instructions are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in building cleaning work.
• Ability to follow written and oral safety instructions in English, including chemical safety sheets.
• Good communication skills to relate with staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming).
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, fixtures, machines and other equipment.
• Empty trash and service restrooms; restock supplies as needed.
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs to Lead/Manager.

If you want a flexible schedule to earn some additional income while being part of an exciting, dynamic and growing team with leadership opportunities in a fast-paced environment, then this is the job for you!If this sounds like the right environment for you, then why wait, APPLY TODAY!!Work Schedule: Days/nights vary, including weekendsShifts Available:6am-9:30am 7 days a weekSummary of duties:Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaningClean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment (e.g. Dust, wash, vacuum, and polish)Gather and empty trashService, clean and supply restroomsMay move furniture, light fixtures or other items manually or with hand truckMay extract carpet (small jobs)Execute proper use of all equipmentClean and maintain cleaning equipment per instructions (e.g. rags, mops, machines, tools and buckets)Prepare cleaning solutions (water, detergents and other chemicals) according to specificationsMonitor and report facility issues requiring repairs (notify Lead, Site or Zone Manager)Monitor building security and safety (lock doors after operating hours and ensure electrical appliances are turned off, etc.)Properly stack and replace cleaning items and toolsEnsure supplies are available for each shiftReport supply requisition needs to Lead/ManagerRequirements for our Janitorial Crew Member position:Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
