Job summary

IFS, located in Daly City, is seeking a Janitorial Crew Member for a full-time role within the Janitorial Services Team. The position offers a flexible schedule with days and nights, including weekends, and hands-on cleaning across floors, furniture, restrooms, and common areas.

You will follow safety guidelines, communicate with staff, and contribute to a fast-paced, growing team that values reliability and teamwork. Benefits may apply for full-time staff depending on the CBA.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and chemical handling sheets (English).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming, spot cleaning).
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures and equipment; dust, wash, vacuum, polish.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• May move furniture or equipment; may extract carpet (small jobs).
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications; monitor and report facility issues.
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift and report needs to Lead/Manager.

Work Schedule: Days/nights vary, including weekends

Shifts Available:

• 7:am-12-am

Summary Of Duties:

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment (e.g. Dust, wash, vacuum, and polish)
• Gather and empty trash
• Service, clean and supply restrooms
• May move furniture, light fixtures or other items manually or with hand truck
• May extract carpet (small jobs)
• Execute proper use of all equipment
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment per instructions (e.g. rags, mops, machines, tools and buckets)
• Prepare cleaning solutions (water, detergents and other chemicals) according to specifications
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs (notify Lead, Site or Zone Manager)
• Monitor building security and safety (lock doors after operating hours and ensure electrical appliances are turned off, etc.)
• Properly stack and replace cleaning items and tools
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift
• Report supply requisition needs to Lead/Manager

Requirements For Our Janitorial Crew Member Position:

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.

• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
