Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, LLC (KBS) is hiring a Janitorial Crew Lead in Chicago for a full-time, on-site role. The Crew Lead will supervise janitorial crews, coordinate daily tasks, interact with clients, and train new hires to ensure top-quality service. Strong leadership and customer-service skills are essential.

Starting pay is $18.25 per hour. Candidates should have 1–3 years in a lead or supervisory role and familiarity with safety rules and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial operations and distribution center environment preferred.
• 1-3 years in a Lead/Supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals and chemical data sheets (English; Spanish where required).
• Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines and forklift instructions.
• Customer-focused, positive attitude with ability to motivate the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform site Crew tasks and ensure all Crew tasks are fully executed at the site.
• Interact with the client to provide professional, prompt service as needed.
• Provide direction and task coordination for the Crew.
• Ensure Crew members understand responsibilities under each policy.
• Collaborate with Crew to coordinate daily operations and resolve deficiencies promptly.
• Assist Supervisor or Zone Manager with hiring and training.
• Ensure team has information and tools to perform tasks effectively; support team’s success.
• May assist with interviews and training.
• Lead by example and motivate the crew through consistent support.
