Janitorial Crew Chief I is responsible for assisting consumers to complete cleaning of designated contracts in a safe and proper manner. This position may be based on the ability to maintain customer contracts in a satisfactory manner.
Responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with CWTC’s mission, policies, and in a manner that supports individuals with disabilities. All employees are required to attend mandated training sessions.
Physical requirements include lifting, pulling, pushing (possibly up to 60 pounds), bending, walking, and standing for long periods of time. Environmental factors include working indoors around dust, cardboard, and moving equipment and working outdoors around pollen, heat, cold and around slippery surfaces. Interpersonal factors include listening to consumer issues, giving verbal encouragement of proper work habits and being able to direct consumer work in a tactful manner.
All employees are responsible for reporting any information, however acquired, pertaining to possible abuse or neglect of consumers to the Director of Quality Improvement, the Safety Director, or the Executive Director.
Employees must follow all safety policies and use necessary protective equipment when applicable. Employees are responsible for reporting safety hazards and/or accidents to their supervisors immediately.
